Just send your home video or camcorder tapes to us, we will carry out an (unedited) transfer to DVD. When you receive the DVD all you have to do is play it on your DVD player or computer, select and make a note of the parts you would like to be in your edited DVD, fill in a form and we then make the DVD for you.

 It really is that simple !

( Even if you are not able to play the tapes because you no longer have the camcorder or player)

a Pay as you Go simple pay for the unedited transfer first, then pay for the DVD and editing you need.

How does it work ?
  First you send us your Home VHS video or camcorder tapes / discs, we transfer (copy) them onto one or more Standard DVD discs unedited (as it is on the tape with out any changes) and at the same time we also make an editable digital file (Mpeg2) that we store on our disc drive system for you. (Normally stored for 30 days although this can be extended) 
  The Standard DVD discs are then sent to you with our guide sheet, easy to follow instructions and example order forms.
  Once you have received the standard unedited DVD(s) you can view them using either a DVD player or computer with the time display switched on and select which sections you would like to be incorporated in your edited DVD, make a note of the displayed time on the forms we supply. When completed choose any upgrade options you would like and send us the forms and payment.
  Using the editable digital files we stored for you along with your timing instructions you have supplied on the form, we carry out the editing work and produce the  DVD or DVDs to your requirements also taking into account any upgradeable options that you have chosen.  
  The DVD (s) are posted to you and once we have received confirmation from you that they have arrived safely and all is OK we will send any additional copies of the DVD you have ordered along with your original video tapes.
   

How much does it cost ?
  The cost of producing the standard DVD and editable digital file is £12 for one tape up to 90 minutes duration. This covers most camcorder tapes for longer VHS tapes two or three disc may be required. >Standard Transfer Information
   
  The cost of editing is Just £2.50 for each selected clip (including a dissolve between clips)
  First or Master Edited DVD  £10 ( Upgradeable options available at additional cost)
  Additional / Multiple DVDs £5 or less depending on the amount ordered, see side column >>>>>>
   

How to order ?

DVDedit.  Additional Information

 

  We accept the following Domestic Tape Formats for transfer or editing:-
  (Domestic Home video tapes) VHS
  Camcorder video tapes :- Hi8 , video8 (also known as Sony 8MM Video)
  VHS Compact ( VHSC) Super VHS Full size (SVHS) , Super VHS Compact ( SVHSC)
  MiniDV (SD) Standard Definition format, We are not currently able to work with any of the (HD) formats
  We can also transfer and edit from 8cm and 12cm personal DVD disc(not copy protected). Please check! that any disc recorded on your camcorder or computer have been finalised  and will play in a standard DVD player.
  We can  work with most editable computer based video files ie DV-AVI , Mpeg2 etc.
  Please note ! we can not transfer or edit from (HD) High Definition format camcorder tapes, SonyDigi 8 (Digital Hi8 tapes) ,Sony micro format or any of the full size Pro analogue or digital formats.
  We only transfer and edit from PAL (UK) format video tapes, our services do not work with video tapes recorded in NTSC (USA) formats

  Sending Your Video and Camcorder Tapes to us.
  We strongly  recommend sending your video  and camcorder tapes by royal mail special delivery or another trusted courier 
  Smaller camcorder tapes are best sent in their original plastic case in a good quality bubble wrap style envelope please label both the tapes and cases.  
  Full size VHS video tapes are heavy and can easily be damaged, we advise sending them in cardboard sleeves the type normally associated with blank VHS tapes, using a good quality bubble wrap style envelope or wrapped cardboard box. If possible try to bind the video tapes together or pack tightly to avoid movement and possible damage by colliding with each other if the package is shaken. Please ensure the actual video tapes are labelled  not just the sleeves.
  If possible send an e-mail advising us of the delivery and tracking details if available, we will send a return e-mail advising of their arrival with us.

  Our Secure Split Postage System
  For increased security of your special videos ,we introduced a split delivery system. We post out your DVD (s) first ,it's only when we have received confirmation that they have arrived safely and that all is OK that we send out your original video tapes and other material you sent to us ,along with any addition copies of the DVDs you have ordered.
  We charge a fixed amount towards the postage for the entire order of either £2.95 for standard Royal mail or £4.95 for Royal mail 1st class Recorded delivery ,we contribute the difference on the larger orders.
  If we have your e-mail address we will advise you when they have been posted and supply the delivery details and tracking number if appropriate.
